THE CURRENT LEAD TIME IS 15 WORK DAYS (20 CALENDAR DAYS). In order to ensure fairness & consistency for all clients, only during low periods of demand, may a sooner turnaround be possible. A rush fee of +25-35% applies where a rush job is accepted.
Please understand BJUM is NOT a priority or same/next day service. Jobs are prepared to a precise specification and produced according to stringent quality standards. Materials are ordered bespoke. BJUM is typically booked ahead for 2 or more weeks, making a 12-72hr turnaround impractical for a bespoke service delivering high quality.

Terms: Payments are upfront upon accepting a quote. Jobs are completed by arrangement, a minimum of 10 work days after payment. BJUM does not work “on spec”, on split payment terms (or any account terms/credit), or the premise of any other promise or assurances. If you need ideas for your project or wish to learn about the associated processes, you are welcome to book a consultation.

Rates/Minimums/Artwork Specs: A minimum order for 1x applies at £35 inc. VAT for a t-shirt or similar with an existing print-ready design (vector images AI/PDF/SVG/EPS or raster images PSD/PNG/JPG 300dpi AT OUTPUT SIZE), or from £70 inc. VAT for a new one. If you have existing artwork, please be ready with these because we will quote according to the most suitable means/methods based on the artwork, which determines the cost. We can’t typically cost orders below £100 inc. VAT for 5+ items. Bulk discounts according to economy. Complex design tasks priced POA at £60/hr inc. VAT.

Please bear in mind BJUM is a sole tradership employing just two people. Your contacts are:

  • Ben Mobbs – Studio Lead / Proprietor (e-mail/txt) – Artworking, designing and physically producing your items (majorly manually/by hand, expertly using top of the line equipment). Lives in Brighton at the studio
  • Kat S. – Studio PA / Client Liaison (e-mail/tel) – Liaising with job details, Q&As, availability, changes/amendments & general updates from Ben. Lives in Brighton
  • Being lean and specialised, we don’t spend your budget on salespeople, account reps, middle managers, commission, marketing, automation, stockpiling, overseas outsourcing, factory staff, Google Ads, fancy premises, shopfronts, warehouses, underutilised machinery, vehicles… We’re not interested in unsustainable growth, investor dividends, production throughput, maximising profit on the resale of raw materials or garments… We’re real people in the community. Basically, we do it all authentically!
  • custom.bjum.uk – This is our leading online system for managing customised product fulfilment – order history, payments, proofs, artwork approval, online designer (DIY), blank catalogue etc. We support you along the way via email. (Also, we don’t force you to use this!)
  • Honestly, it will take us time to consult with you. If you need it now, you might need another plan. We do rush orders, but don’t overcommit.

    Owing to the volume of enquiries, it is important that we are candid about whether it will be possible to help you. We ask that all clients understand the following*:

    Corporates/SMEs/Agencies: Are you contacting multiple suppliers, but don't have time to reply? Ben spends literally hours crafting individual responses to form submissions, that may take a few minutes of your salaried time, bearing all £ cost to do so. Please be mindful of the combined impact if you will not respond.

    Guidance for requests

    If your job is feasible, you’ll get a free, no-obligation comprehensive proposal/quote with necessary visuals (2-3 work days aim). Valued at approx 1-2hrs, waived at £60/hr. For simpler requests you may receive a brief initial reply. For requests not suited to the studio’s methods we refer to trustworthy local businesses.

    We now ask you to provide your budget & deadline to receive a quote. It’s really hard to manage a production schedule when we have no idea when things are needed by, and delays can happen. If you are unable to, unfortunately we will not be able to enter into a dialogue of a speculative nature owing to the staff & time unavailable to negotiate vague requests, but will still try to advise you however appropriate.
